PCB also name as Printed Circuit Board or Printed Wire Board

Circuit boards can be classified in various ways based on different criteria.

Here are some common classifications:

By Layer Count:
Single-sided PCB: Circuit traces are on one side of the board, suitable for simple electronic devices.
Double-sided PCB: Circuit traces are on both sides, connected through vias (holes). Common in more complex devices.
Multilayer PCB: Has three or more layers of circuit traces, typically used in high-density, high-performance devices like smartphones or computers.

By Material:
Rigid PCB: The most common type of circuit board, made from rigid materials like FR4.
Flexible PCB: Made from flexible materials, allowing the board to bend or fold, used in space-constrained or wearable electronics.
Rigid-Flex PCB: Combines rigid and flexible circuits in a single board, used when both flexibility and rigidity are needed.

By Application:
Standard PCB: Used in general consumer electronics such as home appliances, toys, and other non-specialized applications.
High-frequency PCB: Designed for transmitting high-frequency signals, used in RF devices, communications equipment, etc.
Aluminum PCB: Used for high-power applications such as LED lighting, which requires heat dissipation.

By Manufacturing Process:
Surface-mount PCB (SMT): Uses surface-mount technology to attach components, ideal for high-density and compact designs.
Through-hole PCB: The traditional method of mounting components through drilling holes in the PCB, which are soldered on both sides.
